After a tough race on the hilly and cobblestone paved race all riders of our team carried wide smile on their faces. The cause is easy to guess,Viktor got 2nd at Ankara on the finishing line.
Only seconds after the finish, riporter surrounded him and started asking questions.
Here are a few of the most importants:
-At the airport you said "suprise",was that it?
-Yes,absolutely.I was aiming for the win of course,Montana won by an inch or so but im satisfied with it.
-Lots of riders tried to break away at various stages of the race and the peloton was quite nervous all the time,
was it tiring?
-Of course it was,for all the contenders.... And when Draupe Noir went to front before the final climb it just made it even more painful.I saw a lot of guys being dropped.
-What were you thinking when the final kilometers came?
-Well i knew that as soon as all of Montana's helpers drop someone will attack who feel strong enough, but an early attack came from Theisens at around 2 kilometers to go.
-Was it wise to go after him before the final climb?Risking to exhaust yourself and drop back?
-It certainly was because no other team was strong enough to take the lead, all the riders who were strong enough for another attack were attacking...and since Montana was the first who accelerated why would his team chase after us?I locked onto his wheel!
-Any comment for the final kilometer?
-Well....We catched up to Theisens at 100 meters to go and passed him by,it was me and Montana next to each other and Theisens like a bike behind us.
I launched the sprint just before Montana did, damn i think it was in the same second,i cant tell... then it was up to our legs to pedal us trough the finishing line and you know everything after.
Im a bit worried about Theisens tough....He did quite a hard ride, all alone for nearly 2km,as i looked back he seemed to be totally exhausted , I hope he is all right.
-You delivered the last 3 results to your team,A 1st place at Kazakhstan,a 3rd at Belgium and a 2nd here in Turkey.Do you feel confident in yourself?
-Yeah I really do!I will work hard to improve myself so when the next time I'll meet with Montana i can make him ride for his money-said the Hungarian rider with a small smile on his face as he rode away on his bike towards the Team's bus.

Frasco Montaña:"I'm really proud of my day. After 3 big results this season in division 1&2, this is my first victory! Kutas made me work for it and I'm glad I will avoid him in the next weeks, my team having chosen not to participate in the next div2 cobble race. Good luck to him in Roubaix Classic G2!"
